Feed-in Converters for Renewable Energies on the Upswing
SIEB & MEYER reports a positive outcome of the New Energy 2012
About 15,000 visitors (70% trade visitors) attended the trade fair New energy 2012 to gather information about the entire spectrum of renewable energies. SIEB & MEYER is satisfied with the positive outcome of the fair. In Husum the company presented the feed-in converter aeocon, an optimized solution for small wind turbines and small hydroelectric power plants. The device triggered great interest among the professional audience – especially visitors from Denmark, this year's partner country, were eager for more information.
In the context of alternative energy utilization efficiency plays a decisive role. The better the energy yield, the quicker the investment for the use of renewable energies pays off. SIEB & MEYER presented the feed-in converter aeocon at the New Energy 2012 as all-in-one solution to significantly improve the energy yield of different plant types. In addition to small wind turbines the feed-in converters by SIEB & MEYER can also operate small cogeneration units (CHP), small hydroelectric power plants and ORC systems with good efficiency and economic viability.
Proper Conditions in the High-wind Neighborhood
With the slogan "Denmark meets New Energy" Denmark attended the New Energy trade fair as guest country with a special theme day. Our high-wind neighbor country in the north is of particular importance for SIEB & MEYER. "The political environment for small wind turbines is very interesting in Denmark", Ralph Sawallisch, key account manager at SIEB & MEYER, explains. "Another aspect is that the feed-in converter aeocon 4000 exhibited on the New Energy trade fair obtained the official approval for Denmark on January 1, 2012." Two key customers of SIEB & MEYER presented their wind turbines on the New Energy 2012. Both turbines are operated by aeocon and come with all certificates required for a successful startup on the Danish market. The professional audience responded very positively to both solutions.
Specialized Control Technology
The booth of SIEB & MEYER was highly frequented throughout the entire fair. "We have established many interesting new contacts", says Ralph Sawallisch. SIEB & MEYER staff members consider especially the growing awareness of application-oriented control technology positively, since optimal unit control is the key to increase energy yield and thus promotes a rapid amortization of investment in renewable energy utilization. Standard solutions, e.g. for solar power units, are not suitable for many applications in the wind energy sector or in connection with higher-speed generators of ORC systems, Sawallisch points out. He states that both devices developed by SIEB & MEYER, the feed-in converter aeocon and the drive amplifier SD2, provide device platforms with wide power ranges allowing to be adapted optimally to the specific application.
